The Journey

The journey began on an autumn Sunday morning in September 1994, while driving to church. After 17 years of serving in a local church, we knew God was directing us on another path in ministry. In our sincerity, we both looked at each other and First Lady Sweet said, "Today is the day, isn't it? We shared with our pastor that God was calling us to begin a ministry. In response, he told us that God spoke to him that this day would come and released us with his blessing. We would remain for two more months to make the transition smooth.
Transitional Years

Our first meeting was held on November 14, 1994 in our home with 4 people in attendance. The church was called Victory Tabernacle Church.

During these transitional years, the ministry relocated to several locations, the first location being the Neighborhood Center, which is an inner-city facility sponsored by the United Methodist Church. At this location, the ministry began to experience growth, as neighborhood residents were able to walk to our services. In 1997, our ministry relocated to a strip mall in Steelton, Pennsylvania. This location gave us more space to incorporate Sunday School, a choir, a praise and worship team, and a computer training center.

It was during the summer of 1999 that the name of the ministry was changed to Kingdom Life Ministries. We witnessed continued growth in the ministry. Two more moves would take place before our final move to our present location.

In February 2005, a fellow minister shared information about the Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM). This prompted us to seek the Lord for wisdom regarding our partnership with Dr. Frederick K.C. Price. After much prayer, we decided to partner with FICWFM. It was during this transition that our ministry became Kingdom Life Christian Center, under the covering of Apostle Michael and Dr. Dee Dee Freeman of Spirit of Faith Christian Center in Temple Hills, Maryland.
A New Building
In October 2006, we received a call from another fellow minister that a church was coming up for sale. After touring the building, we knew immediately that this was the location that the Lord wanted for us. Renovations were much needed at this location, so the brothers, sisters and ministry partners of KLCC began to tackle the job. The work was completed in 52 days, as referenced in the book of Nehemiah 6:15, "So the wall was finished in twenty and fifth day of the month of Elul, in fifty and two days". Twelve years later another project began to renovate the downstairs and this project was completed also in exactly 52 days.

Kingdom Life Christian Center Today

Kingdom Life Christian Center is dedicated to encouraging, engaging and equipping each person to believe in their God-given possibilities. Our 20/20 Model consist of six key areas of ministry, Squadhelp,Outreach, the WOW Branch, Shock & Awe Team, Kingdom Kids and the Care Ministry. Each area has been designed to be compassionate in our love, excellent in our service, holy in our living and passionate in our worship. We are committed to cultivating leaders who are devoted to servicing God with a spirit of excellence. As God's plan for Kingdom Life Christian Center manifests in the years to come we move forward with Kingdom Vision! As God gives us direction, we will move forward with our mission...to be a place of Promise, a place of Hope, a place of Faith in Harrisburg.
